American Ambassador to China Mr. Randt Visited Our Museum

On 12th November, 2008, American Ambassador to China Mr. Clark T. Randt, Jr. and consul general to Wuhan Miss Bai Xiaoling, accompanied with the officials from Foreign Affairs Office of Hunan Province, visited our museum.

They listened carefully to our English museum guide, showing deeply interests for extracted cultural relics unearthed from Mawangdui Han Tombs, and communicated with our deputy curator, Liu chun. Miss Liu introduced the basic situation of cultural exchange between America and our museum, and the situation of our museum applying the annual 2009 Ambassador Cultural Reservation Fund. Mr.Randt said he had experienced historical glorious Chinese culture by visiting our museum, he would like to make efforts to promote Chinese and American cultural exchange, and would like to help us to communicate and cooperate with related organizations in America.

It is reported that the group of Ambassador Mr. Randt will also visit Yali Middle school and other places in Changsha.
