Art Class of Hunan Provincial Museum in Xingsha Town
As for students of Chenxi Primary School, January 7, 2011 is quite unusual and unforgettable for they experienced an extraordinary and specially-deigned art class brought by Hunan Provincial Museum.
A lecture themed “The Beauty of Art”
Students are appreciating the Painting duplicate under the guidance of a docent.
Taking advantage of the “Collections of Uffizi Gallery—from 15th to 20th Century” that being exhibited at our museum, this elaborately-designed art class provides the students with precious opportunities to learn how to appreciate the beauty of art works. To begin with, a lecture on the theme of “The Beauty of Art” was given by Education Center of Hunan Provincial Museum in their multi-media classrooms, through which students were imparted knowledge on the traditions and cultures of Italy; then, on-site visit followed outside of the classrooms where school children were immersed in the exquisite duplicates of great art works and stories behind the paintings told by the docents; finally, these lovely kids buried their heads in the various forms of working sheets handed out by museum staff, creating landscape paintings, self-portraits, dresses for the queen, etc. through their own little hands.
Students are deeply absorbed in Working Sheets.
It is the first time that the social education activity of Hunan Provincial Museum entered into Primary School of Xingsha Town, which fully demonstrates that our museum makes every endeavor to steadily expand the scope of its educational influence so as to share such splendid arts and brilliant cultures with more and more people.
