Hunan Provincial Museum Wins “Best Tourist Attraction”

On the afternoon of March 1, 2011, a working conference on “Tourism in Changsha in 2010”was held by Changsha municipal government, in which Hunan Provincial Museum was awarded the title of “Best Tourist Attraction in Changsha”.

According to statistics, Hunan Provincial Museum had received 1,372,409 visitors in 2010, including about 130,000 foreign visitors. Since March 20, 2008 when this museum began to implement the free admission policy, staff in the museum have always upheld the principle of “providing first-rate service to every visitor” and made unremitting efforts to improve the service quality and increase the satisfaction rate of audience for the past three years. The annual survey of audience opinion made by Hunan Provincial Museum showed that the visitors’satisfaction rate reached up to 94.4% in 2010, 2.1% higher than 2009, with 13, 607 pieces of messages for compliment among the 14,408 messages left in Guest Message Books. Among those messages left by visitors both at home and abroad, one left by a foreign visitor says, “I am very delighted to be able to see the wonderful and exciting discoveries unearthed and placed here. I found the building & artifacts to be very well laid out and impressive. Keep up the good work.”
