International Children's Paintings Exhibition held in Hunan Museum

The opening ceremony of "My Future, My Will"International Children's Paintings Exhibition was held in the art hall of Hunan Museum at 7:30 pm, May 25th , which marked the debut of children painting exhibition since the newly-built museum was open to the public. Co-organized by the Hunan Museum, China Children and Teenagers’ Foundation (CCTF), School of Urban Design in Central Academy of Fine Arts(CAFA), Committee of FAC International Children Painting Contest, the exhibition presented nearly 200 award-wining works in FAC international contest as well as those in New York FAC contest in 2017 created by children from different countries.

The opening ceremony began with an amazing children's dance The Best Future. Then, Duan Xiaoming, director of the Hunan Museum addressed in the ceremony: “We will leave the stage to kids since they are the main players today.”

Based on his personal experience, Irving Finkel, deputy director of the British Museum stated the influence museums would exert on career choice of children in the future. Besides, several honored guests also expressed their opinions as well their best wishes for children art education in the future, such as Xu Xiaoguang, head of Ministry of Foreign Cooperation of CCTF, Zheng Qinyan, associate professor of CAFA, Huang Jiancheng, deputy dean of School of Urban Design in CAFA.

At the last session, Duan issued certificates of participation for children representatives. He said, these certificates might mark a brand new start of their artistic life.

After the ceremony, people began their visit and they were marveled at the imagination and skills implied in the works. 
 

 
Guests visited the exhibition hall 

The exhibition is open to public for free until June 30. It is held in the second exhibition hall on the first floor of the museum.
