Palace Museum exhibition unveiled in Urumqi

The "Xinjiang Cultural Relics Exhibition of Qing Dynasty" was unveiled at the Xinjiang Museum on February 27. 134 cultural relics and series from the Palace Museum, National Library of China, and some other cultural departments are on display. Over 50% of exhibits are rated as first-grade, and 102 cultural relics and series are from the Forbidden City. The exhibition falls into five parts: unification of Xinjiang by the Qing Dynasty, setting of General of Yili, Turehot Tribes' return to the motherland, consolidation and stabilization of border area, as well as establishment of Xinjiang Province and social development.
