With the coming of 2014 summer vacation, Hunan Provincial Museum will organize a series of social practices for primary school students in cooperation with Changsha Municipal Bureau of Education, which includes the free admission, featured education projects and the activity of “Small Museum Staff”. The museum invites primary school students to walk into the museum and experience a special and joyful summer vacation.

The museum will also invite primary students to the “Exhibition of European Glass Artworks” and the “Exhibition of Mawangdui Han Tombs” held in New Xiangjiang District Planning Exhibition Center, helping them make a close contact with great art and culture. On weekends, pupils may also take part in the educational activities of “Making Glasswork” and “Traditional Chinese Culture”, giving full play to their imagination and creativity.

At the same time, as the “Small Museum Staff”, students can act as education guider, interpreter, and consultant etc, gaining a better understanding about the daily work of the museum. Through those social practices, Hunan Provincial Museum aims to enrich the vacation life of primary students, providing them with opportunities to appreciate the art and culture from the East and the West, enhancing its social educational function.
