Announcement on the Reopening of the Hunan Museum

Dear visitors,

In accordance with the new regulation about the Covid-19 epidemic in the Hunan Province, the Hunan Museum will resume its opening to the public from August 18th (Wednesday), 2021. We look forward to welcoming you in the museum.

Please see the following information for full details on the reopening:

1. Open Hours

From Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00—17:00 (last entry at 16:00).
Closed on Mondays (except for national holidays).    

2. Online Booking

According to the current pandemic prevention and control requirements, tickets for admission to Hunan Museum must be reserved online at least one day in advance with a valid ID. The daily limit is 4,000 visitors (temporary exhibitions included). You can book the ticket on our official website or WeChat official account 7 days in advance. Reservations begin at 20:00 every day. Please arrive on time for the designated entry time with reservation message, a valid ID, and health code. No admission for visitors who do not wear a mask, without reservation, or have symptoms such as having a fever (body temperature≥37.3℃) or coughing.

3. Open Areas and Services Adjustments

In accordance with the current pandemic prevention and control policy, the VR Digital Experience Hall and multimedia equipment in the exhibition hall will be closed temporarily; services such as group reservations, parking, docent-guided tours, and educational activities will not be provided temporarily. Visitor can use our official APP, WeChat official account on the smart phone to conduct self-guided tours free of charge.
