“Phoenix Flying in the Sky” Wins “Best Comprehensive Benefit Award”

The exhibition of “Phoenix Flying in the Sky: Cultural Relics of the Chu State” designed by Hunan Provincial Museum won the “Best Comprehensive Benefit Award” in the competition for “Top 10 Displays and Exhibitions at Museums in China”.
The annual competition for “Top 10 Displays and Exhibitions at Museums in China”, launched in 1997 and crowned as Oscar in museum circle , is the only and permanent national award specially set up for museum professionals by departments in charge of national cultural relics and museums. This year, this event was held in Shenyang from May 16 to May 18. 25 exhibitions from 99 candidate exhibitions held at museums all round the centuries were selected through online and experts’ votes based upon the factors of theme, content, form, dissemination, design, education, security, service, social influence, etc, among which 3 outstanding prizes, 10 excellent prizes and 12 special prizes were respectively awarded. After the fierce competition, “Phoenix Flying in the Sky: Cultural Relics of the Chu State” designed by Hunan Provincial Museum won the “Best Comprehensive Benefit Award”.
