104 Junior Middle School Teachers Visit and Learn in Hunan Provincial Museum
On the morning of December 15, 2010, as a part of “2010 National Training Program for Elementary and Secondary School Key Teachers”, 104 history teachers from Junior Middle School attached to Hunan Normal University visited Hunan Provincial Museum, spending a half day acquiring the educational experiences here.
Teachers are watching video introduction about Hunan Provincial Museum.
The history teachers, first of all, watched the video about Hunan Provincial Museum at the Multifunctional Auditorium and listened to the report on the educational achievements made by our museum in recent years by Wudi, director of Education Center. A guide tour was followed, in which the teachers feasted their eyes on brilliant collections from the Exhibition of Mawangdui Han Tombs, the Exhibition of Shang and Zhou Bronzes Found in Hunan, the Exhibition of Ceramics from Famous Kilns in Hunan, etc.
Teachers are marveling at the beautiful Boar-Shaped Bronze Zun.
When this activity was coming to a close, Yu Boqing, dean of teaching-research section of School of History and Culture, Hunan Normal University and executive director of the Training Program, thanked Hunan Provincial Museum for the long-term and strong support to the education circle and expressed the wishes of closer relationship and deeper cooperation between schools and museum in the future.
