2010 Work Review & Commendation Meeting Held at Hunan Provincial Museum

On the afternoon of January 27, 2010 Work Review & Commendation Meeting of Hunan Provincial Museum was grandly held at the multifunctional auditorium, in which the main work and major achievements in 2010 were reviewed, working plans and thoughts of 2011 proposed, and the departments, teams and individuals with outstanding performance recognized and awarded. Chen Yuanping, Party member of Hunan Provincial Cultural Department and director-general of Hunan Administration of Cultural Heritage, He Qiang, deputy director of Hunan Administration of Cultural Heritage and Duan Xiaoming, section-chief of Hunan Provincial Museum of Hunan Administration of Cultural Heritage, attended this meeting.

Liu Xiaobao, member of the Party committee and vice director of Hunan Provincial Museum, chaired the meeting and You Zhenqun, deputy secretary-general of the Party committee and secretary-general of Discipline Inspection Commission of the museum, on behalf of Chen Jianming, director of the museum, gave the work report of 2010.

The work report outlined the major tasks and achievements in the fields of opening and reception, object security, exhibitions, acquisition, protection and preservation of cultural relics, academic research, cultural exchanges, etc. accomplished by our museum in the past year, which include:

2010 Advanced Unit by Hunan Provincial Cultural Department;

Advanced Unit of Developing and Protecting Liye Ancient City Ruins by Hunan Provincial Cultural Department;

2010 Advanced Unit of Cultural Information and Media Work by Hunan Provincial Cultural Department;

Advanced Unit of Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs by Hunan Provincial Personnel Department and Provincial People’s Government Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs;

Advanced Base for Hunan Teenage Moral Education by Hunan Provincial Spiritual Civilization Steering Committee;

 Provincial Model Unit by Hunan Provincial Spiritual Civilization Steering Committee;

2010 Changsha Model Unit of Internal Safety and Security Work by Changsha Public Security Bureau;

Second Prize Awarded by State Administration of Cultural Heritage for“Project on Establishment and Application of Tri-level Preservation Model of Corpse Unearthed from Mawangdui” co-accomplished by Hunan Provincial Museum, Central South University and Hunan Mawangdui Corpse and Cultural Relics Protection Center.

2010 Advanced Institute of Hunan Society of Museums by Hunan Provincial Social Science Association;

First Award of Course Development of Museum education and Middle School Class;
