The Capital Museum Alliance recently unveiled the 2012 Beijing Museum Pass which offers direct access to 115 museums and attractions in Beijing.

The pass is priced at 120 yuan, and can save a visitor more than 2,500 yuan, given the combined admission fees of major museums in the city.

The pass covers 115 museums, popular science education bases, and cultural tourism sites in Beijing.

With the pass, up to two adults can enjoy free or discounted admission to 73 museums. As for the other 42 museums that are already open to the public free of charge, a pass holder does not need to book an admission ticket in advance, and can enjoy discounted commodities and services as well as other benefits.

The pass is actually a booklet which contains detailed information about the museums and attractions, including their address, phone number, opening hours, admission fees, traveling route, parking lot, and features.

Compared with the 2011 pass, the 2012 Beijing Museum Pass has added some museums and scenic spots such as the National Museum of China, Beijing Olympic Museum, China Science and Technology Museum, Beijing Auto Museum, China Civil Aviation Museum, Zhaoling Tomb Museum, and Yinshan Pagodas.
