Director Chen Attends Sino-Italy Roundtable Discussion

At the invitation of Xu Shousheng, governor of Hunan province, Yan Nongqi, Italian ambassador in China scheduled a visit to Hunan on March 28 and 29. A roundtable discussion, organized by Hunan Foreign Affairs Office and hosted by Guo Kailang, vice governor of Hunan Province, was held on the morning of March 29, in the hope of further strengthening the communication and cooperation between China and Italy. Chen Jianming, director of Hunan Provincial Museum, accompanied by Huang Lei, head of Foreign Cultural Exchange Office of the museum, attended the discussion on  invitation as the representative of the cultural system.

Director Chen Jianming, firstly, introduced the basic situations of the museum itself and the cooperation and exchange between Italy and the museum, and then, expressed his sincere wishes for the better bilateral relationship. Mr. Yan, with great interest towards the speech of Mr. Chen, promised that more efforts will be exerted for the further cooperation and exchange between the two parties in the field of museums and proposed to exhibit the collection of Hunan Provincial Museum in the Italian Embassy in China.
