Hunan Provincial Museum Signed Agreement on the Joint Development of IP Resources
Recently, Hunan Provincial Museum has signed an Agreement on the Joint Development of IP Resources with the Cultural Industry Development Center of National Museum of China, joining the initiative of “Internet Plus with Museums” and building an online platform of “China’s Creative Culture”.
On March 1st, 2016, the National Museum of China signed an agreement with Alibaba to jointly build “China’s Creative Culture”, an online platform for designing, developing and selling cultural products. The platform, consisting of “Cloud design center” and “a shopping center for cultural products”, is open to cultural and heritage institutions nationwide. Museums and heritage organizations could provide the IP authorization of museum collections while the National Museum of China is responsible for introducing quality resources to excellent foreign designers, and then good products can be directly sold on the platform. On June 13th, the National Museum of China started cooperation agreement with China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Administration to launch the Chinese business center of “China’s Creative Culture”, building an offline platform covering design, products, operation and global sales, which will promote the spreading of Chinese culture and art.
As the first provincial museum that has signed agreement with the National Museum of China, Hunan Provincial Museum will select superior resources and authorize them to the National Museum, which in return will, on behalf of the former, sign relevant contracts with designer, investor, producer and seller etc on the “China’s Creative Culture” platform. Creative cultural products can be sold worldwide through Alibaba.
By cooperating with National Museum of China and Alibaba, Hunan Provincial Museum makes the full use of its social resources and enhances the combination of culture, art and modern design, which is of great importance in facilitating the upgrade of cultural industry, promoting the spread and inheritance of Hunan culture as well as Chinese civilization.
