The Chinese Lunar New Year is just around the corner, and museums all over the country begin to hold various and colorful activities to celebrate this festival that is especially important to our Chinese people.

National Museum of China: Gold Bar for Chinese New Year

Since 2007, limited editions of “Gold Bar for Chinese New Year” have been annually released by National Museum of China. With the coming of the year of Rabbit, 666 sets of gold bars have been delicately made by 50gAu9999 pure gold with the traditional “rabbit” design on the obverse.

Heilongjiang Museum: Lovely Rabbits Exhibition

An exhibition full of creativity and originality themed “2011 Rabbit Exhibition” is held at Heilongjiang Museum, which educates the kids by showcasing lovely rabbits of different breeds and in various growth phases and entertains them by colorful interaction activities. It is reported that some of these rabbits will be adopted by kids after the exhibition.

Guangdong Shiwan Ceramics Museum: Touring Exhibition of Welcoming Rabbits

A touring exhibition named “Little Rabbit, Big Dream” on the theme of the “Year of Rabbit” will be held by Guangdong Shiwan Ceramics Museum through March, 31, 2011, in which 73 sets of carefully-selected artworks of rabbit pottery and porcelain will be displayed to spread the new year’s festivity all over the country.
