Tibetan Cultural Exhibition to Open at Hunan Provincial Museum
A Tibetan cultural exhibition will open at Hunan Provincial Museum on December 28, 2011 and run until April 1, 2012.
On the morning of December 19, Hunan Provincial Museum greeted the first treasure trove of cultural relics arrived. Over 20 media such as Xinhua News Agency, China News Service, Hunan Daily, etc. covered this great news.
The exhibition will display more than 130 items collected from over 10 museums and temples, including more than 40 pieces/sets objects that ranked as the first-grade cultural relics in China. Among them, the most famous exhibits are the Golden-bronze Guanyin Statue with Eleven Heads and Thousand Hands and Golden-bronze Sontzen Gampo Statue.
The exhibition hall is divided into 3 themes, ranging from Religious Belief, Unity of Ethnic Groups to Tibetan Snowy Scenery. It will provide a concentrated reflection of the cultural, historical, religious and artistic life of Tibetan people.
Changsha citizens will feast their eyes on all those precious treasures that had come all the way here from the remote Tibet.
