The city of Xi’an in Northwest China’s Shaanxi province held an exhibition at the Shaanxi History Museum on May 18, to mark the 39th International Museum Day, according to xinhuanet.com.
The exhibition is based on Xuanzang, a monk from the Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907) who traveled from Xi’an to ancient India and brought back many Buddhist Scriptures.
Close to 50 items of cultural relics related to Xuanzang, Buddhism, Tang Dynasty, and the cultural communication between East and West are on display at the exhibition.
