Exhibition of Yang Fuyin’s Paintings

Introduction

Exhibition of Yang Fuyin’s Paintings

With great ingenuity and originality, Yang's Chinese paintings retain a touch of traditional charm in an unparalleled  creative way, with his free-flowing brush strokes revealing great strengths. You can sense from his works the typical vitality and tension of Chinese art.

Yang argued that artistic innovation is supposed to make Chinese paintings closer to rather than  being departed from the essence of Chinese tradition.

Zhong Shuhe, a well known scholar said:"Yang's paintings, devoid of vulgarity and triviality, are quite refreshing and inspiring. I love his calligraphy of writing aphorisms—it's the spirit of the art that counts!”

Wang Luxiang, researcher of China National Academy of Painting also expressed his appreciations to Yang: "His works are minimized in form yet maximized in meaning, which is rarely seen in art field!" Shao Dazhen, professor of Central Academy of Fine Arts said:"Yang's works are deeply rooted in traditional culture, which also is well balanced by elements of western paintings."

Critics remarked Yang's works as "refinement, elegance, exquisiteness and profoundness" , the very qualities that define Chinese art.

The book about Yang Fuyin's art works published by Hunan Fine Arts Publishing House will be launched with the exhibition.

The exhibition is open from September 8th to October 6th for free.
